Having a Survey

Surveys and Valuations - Professional Services Department

If you are purchasing property, it is important that you take independent advice to the value and condition of the property. There are various types of report available to the purchaser as outlined below:

Valuation Report

This is a brief overview of the value and condition of the property, often carried out for Banks/Building Societies for mortgage purposes.

Home Buyers Report

This is our most popular report as it provides the purchaser with a more detailed understanding of the condition of all aspects of the property, outlining all defects which are considered urgent or significant and also sets out the future maintenance issues which must be anticipated. In addition, this report will provide a current Open Market Valuation.

Building Survey

Often referred to as a "Structural Survey", the Building Survey is appropriate if the subject property is in poor repair, particularly if there are known structural defects or if the property is of non-standard construction. Such a report will provide in-depth technical information in respect of the structural stability of the property.

In addition, we are able to provide formal valuation advice for the following purposes:

  • Insurance
  • Probate Valuations
  • Development
